This is a lovely watch, the cases close correctly and the design on the case is exquisite. The movement is signed Peter Wirgman, London, 1563. Looking at the dates he was working, this watch dates from the mid-18th century. I have found it online here A George III pair cased pocket watch on stand, the outer case decorated with a figure of a gardener, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the movement with verge escapement, signed Peter Wirgman, London and numbered 1563, on a rosewood and inlaid stand (chorleys.com). The stand and key are no longer with it. The only flaw is that the hole for the winding arbor has been enlarged – not by me! (SEE PICTURES). Price for this very nice painted underhorn verge is £500 (contact rcorfield863@gmail.com).
